Author of the Month – William Steig

The wife of Mr. Brian Whittle (Music Teacher), Mrs. JoAnne Whittle, has kindly nominated William Steig as the author of November.  Mrs. Whittle explains:

“For next month’s author, I’d like to nominate William Steig.  He has written so many enjoyable books.  Some of them teach good morals, such as Sylvester and the Magic Pebble (be careful what you wish for!).  Some teach good English such as CDB! and CDC?  Some characters, such as Dr. de Soto demonstrate thought, planning, and courage.  The dad and mom in Pete’s Pizza show us family love and fun, and Amos and Boris let us know that we can love thos who are very different from us.”
