Author of the Month – Tedd Arnold

The New York Times bestselling author Tedd Arnold was born in 1949 in Elmira, New York. He has written over 60 books and best known for his Fly Guy series, which sold more than 8.5 million copies worldwide. Tedd became interested in the picture books because of his wife, Carol, who encouraged him to write and illustrate children’s books. Also, his first book, “No Jumping on the Bed!”, was inspired by his first son, Walter.

Tedd’s first book, “No Jumping on the Bed!”, became an IRA-CBC Children’s Choice book and Parents Magazine 50 All-time Best Children’s Books. He is also a two-time winner of the ALA’s Theodor Seuss Geisel Honor for the books “Hi! Fly Guy” and “I Spy Fly Guy”.
