World Book Day

World Book Day is a yearly event on April 23rd, organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, to promote reading, publishing and copyright.

Our school celebrated World Book Day by promoting Paddington books, which were written by one of the greatest British authors, Michael Bond.  His beloved Paddington Bear turns 60 in 2018. Students brought their teddy bears and dressed up as teddy bears for the library reading time from April 20th to April 30th.

All the kids love the stories of Paddington. The stories are gently humorous and comforting. There are over 150 books about Paddington Bear. They have been written in over 40 different languages and are read by children all over the world.
